Our Waterfowl Grassy Moist Soil Blend contains a mix of seed producing native grasses and sedges that are considered highly palatable or preferred by a wide range of waterfowl, notably our friends the puddle ducks. The stems and decaying organic matter produced by this list of desirable species will also provide suitable conditions to foster a hefty population of protein rich invertebrates our ducks so badly need to round out their diets. We purposefully kept this blend "grassy" so you can choose to either mix it with our broadleaf waterfowl blend, or keep them separate if you so desire. This mix will do well and reseed in conditions ranging from a relatively weed free old ag field with a limited seedbank, to a little opening in the timber.
